Minat Mahasiswa atas Sertifikasi Profesi

Abstract. This study aims to determine the role of career planning on students' interest in taking certification, identify the types of professional certification students are interested in, and determine the role of study programs in supporting professional certification. This research also provides considerations for students to develop careers with professional certification. This research was conducted at the SWCU FEB Accounting Department. The data collection method in this study used a mixed method by distributing questionnaires to 100 students and interviewing 12 respondents. The study results show that students are interested in CPA and CIA certification for certification in accounting and IT certification for certification outside of their education. The study program supports students to take certification in terms of the quality of learning, collaboration with certification bodies, and the socialization that is held. Students view certification as adding value to their careers. Even so, most students are not yet prepared to take certification due to uncertainty about career plans, low intention to study, and lack of information obtained.
