Throughout the history there has always been a tension between a conflict and the reconciliation. Both are important in the formation and learning of human beings in constructing a better life in humanity. The Bible is also present to overcome various conflicts and reconciliation in the history of human life with God and also with each other. The Bible teaches us to continue to build the capacity to reconcile conflicts that occur in human life from God's perspective. The Letter of Philemon is a pastoral letter sent by the Apostle Paul to help the congregation in reconciling the conflict between "master" and "slave" in the midst of a culture that favors the possessors of power. As a manifestation of God's presence in the world, the church is called to respond to various problems around it in realizing Christ the proclamation among His people especially for the churches in Indonesia.
