Abstract

This paper wants to see and illustrate the phenomenon of the death of local cinema, the relationship between politics and economics in film media. The strategy taken by Permata cinema to survive facing the onslaught of western globalization and commercialization, and the absence of government support through regulations issued. The methodology used is descriptive qualitative, a case study of Permata Cinema. Film and cinema have strong ties with the political, economic and human resources and technology to survive.
