Abstract

Malnutrition for a long time will cause pregnant mothers to experience conditions that are dangerous for their nutritional status called Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED). Lack of knowledge affects the amount of food consumed, causing nutritional needs are not fulfilled during pregnancy. The purpose of the study was to determine the increase in knowledge of PW through nutrition education and menu preparation. The media used are STERIL KEK, recipe books, and posters. Evaluation of educational success by filling out pre-post-test questionnaires before and after education. Based on the results of the evaluation by filling out the pre-post test questionnaire, it showed as many as 83.33% respondents experienced an increase in knowledge. Meanwhile, 16.67% respondents experienced an increase in knowledge in the sufficient category. The conclusion of this study is that there is an increase in the knowledge of respondents after being given nutrition education.
