For GKI Salatiga congregation, life without the hope of being resurrected is a life that has no meaning. The resurrection of Christ is not just a myth that is believed to serve as insurance for the resurrection of believers after death. The resurrection of Christ is believed to be the beginning of various revivals that will follow. This belief is further strengthened by the acknowledgement of the role of the risen Christ as the Head of the Church and by the affirmation that the church as Jesus’ body will be resurrected. There are at least three implications of such a belief. First, believers are not afraid to face death because human existence will continue even after death. Second, the hope of being resurrected provides an opportunity for the believers to live their lives in accordance to God’s will. Third, the hope of being resurrected influence the way the believers see and resolve problems that they encounter in their every day life.
