Abstract

This research was motivated by the low learning motivation of third-grade students. The hypnoteaching method was used as a solution to increase learning motivation because it conveys learning through subconscious language, thereby fostering student interest and motivation. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the hypnoteaching method on the learning motivation of third-grade students at SD Negeri 60 Pangkalpinang. The research used a quantitative method with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest design. The sample was third-grade students at SD Negeri 60 Pangkalpinang, selected using nonprobability sampling with a purposive sampling technique. Data collection used a questionnaire, while data analysis was conducted using the Shapiro-Wilk normality test and hypothesis testing using a Paired Sample T-Test. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the hypnoteaching method has an effect on student learning motivation of class III students of SD Negeri 60 Pangkalpinang. The results were obtained from the posttest results which were greater than the pretest results. So it can be interpreted that after carrying out treatment using the hypnoteaching method, learning motivation was higher than before carrying out treatment using the hypnoteaching method. Based on the result obtained, the results of the hypothesis test using the paired sample t-test with the result of thitung = 18.382 and t abel = 1.691. This research using the hypnoteaching method can provide solutions in conveying student learning motivation for teachers and other researchers.
