This research is a descriptive exploratory study with a qualitative approach. Data were collected by questionnaire, interview, and focus group discussion. The data source is 40 elementary school teachers in Bantul Regency, DIY. Data analysis is done by finding and identifying teacher difficulties in preparing the SSP, then finding solutions to teacher problems. The results of this study are (1) 55% of teachers made preparations by determining the method in advance, 35% of teachers made preparations by determining SK and KD, and 10% of teachers chose to determine the approach. (2) The difficulty of teachers in preparing the SSP was 62% of teachers had difficulty in assessment, 32% of teachers had difficulty determining the method and 8% of teachers had other difficulties. (3) 62% of teachers answered the assessment became an obstacle in the preparation of the SSP, 32% of the teachers answered the method, and the other obstacle was 8%. The solutions made by the teacher to overcome the problem: find additional information, determine the syntax, choose a method, read book, search other source from the internet. This was revealed by a teacher through an interview. Based on observations, it was also found that there was indeed no character education book that was in accordance with the school's vision and mission. Character education or moral education in the present context, really needs to be taught and developed, so that children's morals can be formed early. Picture-story book is a book in which there are stories, characters, grooves, backgrounds, themes that are expressed in the form of writings and images that become one unit. Through reading books, it is easier for children to understand the contents and practical examples to apply the character values that they want to teach. This study uses descriptive qualitative methods. The qualitative descriptive is an attempt to explain facts, data, or objects qualitatively in the form of language or discourse by interpreting them appropriately and systematically. Data collection techniques used were interview and observations. This research was conducted at the Santa Theresia Jakarta Kindergarten. The results of the study indicated that picture-story books that were in accordance with the values of servite et amate needed to be created and developed, in order to help children in early childhood easily understood examples of character actions that must be performed. Therefore, schools need to facilitate and fully support, so that kindergarten teachers are given space and opportunities to develop pictorial story books. In fact, based on the observation at grade 4 XYZ school, the researcher found that students frequently did inappropriate behavior such as calling out, excessive talking, forgetting to raise the hand quietly when asking question or stating an idea. One factor that made it happen was because the students did not clearly know about the teacher’s behavior expectation. Facing these problems, the researcher decided to use a preventive way to minimalize the students’ misbehavior using the CHAMPS approach which is a part of Positive Behavior Support. The purpose is to find out whether the students’ behavior will be improved by the implementation of CHAMPS as an expectation before the lesson started. The method of this research was Classroom Action Research (CAR) which consisted of two cycles and involved 20 students. The instruments that used were the teacher’s rating scale, student’s attitude scale, and researcher’s journal reflection. Descriptive statistical analysis and qualitative descriptive analysis were the technique used to analyze the data. From the data that has been analyzed, the researcher concluded that the implementation of Positive Behavior Support using CHAMPS had been improved student behavior in the classroom, specifically in their compliance towards the classroom rules and procedures. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan bentuk pre experimental dengan desain One Group Pretest-Postest. Sampel penelitian adalah kelas VI<sub>b </sub>SD Inpres Ungulan BTN Pemda Kota Makassar yang berjumlah 40 orang. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan observasi, tes dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis deskriptif dan analisis inefrensial untuk uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan bantuan SPSS 20,0 for windows. In social studies learning, on 7th grade junior high school has material about the period of Islam in Indonesia which is the material also discusses the relics of the Islamic period in Indonesia. But students do not yet know that Lir-ilir song is one of them and play an important role in the process of Islamization in Indonesia and meaning that are able to educate students's character. The purpose of this study is to explain students's understanding, character arising and the effect of Lir-ilir songs on students. This research was carried out on students 7th grade Class B of SMP Kristen Satya Wacana Salatiga 2nd semester year of 2018/2019, totaling 22 students. In the pre-test of this study students got an average of 7.9 which can be concluded that students do not understand or recognize Lir-ilir songs. In learning students are taught about the meaning and understanding of the song that teaches the value of tolerance and mutual respect, for fellow examples in the scope of the school; bullying, etc. Students also learned to sing Lir-ilir song in front of the class in groups. Therefore researchers want to take action to improve learning by using the Think Talk and Write (TTW) model. This type of research is the study of class action using Kurt Lewin's research design. The instrument of data collection uses test instruments, observation sheets, and questionnaires. Analysis of the data used is descriptive comparative. The indicator of the success of critical thinking skills and learning outcomes is 75%. The results obtained from this study are that there is an increase in critical thinking skills and learning outcomes of class VIII Satya Wacana Christian Middle School Salatiga. In the first cycle the results of critical thinking skills are 55% of students who have high critical thinking skills, while in the second cycle there is an increase of 85% of students who have high critical thinking skills. Then in the pre-cycle learning outcomes there were 25% of students whose grades reached KKM, the first cycle there were 70% of students completed KKM, and in the second cycle there was an increase of 90% of students who completed KKM. The type of this research was quasi-experimental research in which the post-test only controlled group design. The population of this research was students of 11<sup>th</sup> grade of SMA Negeri 6 Denpasar in academic year 2018/2019 totaling 321 students who were distrbuted into 9 classes. The sample was taken using Cluster Random Sampling technique where two classes were chosen as experimental class and control class. Data of students’ mathematical learning achievement were collected by test method. Data were analyzed using one-tail t-test with a significance level of 5%. It happened because of the ease with which foreign cultures enter and blend in with local cultures which can directly affect the cultural structure of the nation. Likewise with folklore as if forgotten. Folklore is one of the national cultural heritages which is a national honor with a diverse culture that must be introduced to students since elementary school. This study aimed to identify the children's stories based on local culture and implement literacy culture at SD Kartika XX-I Makassar. The approach used in this research was descriptive qualitative with survey method while the data collection techniques used were observation, documentation, interviews and questionnaires. Based on the data obtained, the researchers identified twelve children's story titles which were then carried out by literacy to elementary students of Kartika XX-I Makassar. The application of literacy culture in SD Kartika XX-1 Makassar by 1) distributing story books to students 2) reading about 15-20 minutes, 3) students identifying moral values ​​contained in the story, 4) strengthening the moral values ​​of the story children and the application of local culture in accordance with national values.</p> 2019-12-09T00:00:00+07:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement## PENINGKATAN HASIL BELAJAR IPA PESERTA DIDIK MENGGUNAKAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN MAKE A MATCH PADA KELAS 4 SD 2019-12-09T14:13:24+07:00 Wahyu Tri Raharjo Firosalia Kristin <p>This study aims to determine the steps to implement the Make a Match learning model and improve learning result sains through the application of the Make a Match learning model to Grade IV students of Kutowinangun State Elementary School 04 Salatiga. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) with research subjects in 4th grade students of Kutowinangun State Elementary School 04 Salatiga consisting of 13 male students and 15 female students. The data collection technique used is test. The procedure of action research consists of two cycles. Each cycle through four stages of research includes: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The data analysis technique used was quantitative descriptive and qualitative descriptive. The percentage of completeness of learning result showed that in pre-action as many as 4 students completed (14%), increased to 16 students completed (57%) in the first cycle, and increased to 26 students completed (93%) in second cycle.
