Pendampingan Artistik dalam Penyelenggaraan Kegiatan Best Student Choir Festival Tahun 2022
Abstract
Best Student Choir Festival (BSCF) is a biennial choir competition organized by BPK Penabur to select participants among Penabur schools in Jakarta to take part in the Penabur International Choir Festival (PICF). BSCF was held in 2017 and 2019, but then due to the COVID-19 pandemic the 2021 competition was cancelled. In the middle of 2021 BPK Penabur involved Satya Wacana Music Department to prepare for a Virtual choir competition in 2022. In this collaboration, Satya Wacana Music Department functioned as the artistic team of the competition. The artistic team was responsible for compiling artistic guidelines and planning a series of BSCF 2022 events. Armed with a background in music knowledge and choral experiences, this team made several modifications and adaptations to the choir competition rules so that the BSCF 2022 could be held attractively while still complying with the existing health protocol rules. Although the entire process has done virtually, the BSCF 2022 successfully brought eight winners per category to the international PICF event.
