Pendampingan Evaluasi Nilai Tingkat Panduan Diagnostik Indonesia (TPDI) pada Pemeriksaan Radiografi Umum di Rumah Sakit Mardi Rahayu Kudus

The Radiology Unit in a hospital serves to provide expert examinations through medical imaging technology based on the knowledge of radiation interaction with matter, including X-rays in general radiographic equipment. In the interest of radiation protection and dose accuracy, the government—through BAPETEN (Nuclear Energy Regulatory Agency)—has established the Indonesian Diagnostic Reerence Level (I-DRL) for various anatomical positions based on the calculation of INAK (Entrance Air Kerma) and ESAK (Entrance Surface Air Kerma) values. The community service program conducted at Mardi Rahayu Hospital in Kudus specifically targeted the lower extremity area. The findings revealed that for Femur and Pedis examinations, the TPDI values remained below the maximum limits permitted by government regulations. Consequently, patients receive a safe radiation dose, and radiology personnel can operate general radiographic equipment for diagnostic purposes that adhere to the ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principle.
