Abstract

Many households have not yet adopted Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS), particularly among the elderly. The implementation of PHBS among the elderly is still inadequate, with a rate of only 53.34%, mainly due to low personal hygiene practices. This study aims to raise awareness and promote the application of Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) among the elderly in the working area of the Cebongan Public Health Center. Through community service activities, education on PHBS was provided to 31 elderly individuals through lectures, demonstrations, and Q&A sessions. Pre-activity results indicated that most participants had already implemented PHBS, but their understanding of the various aspects of PHBS still needed improvement. After the activities, participants showed great enthusiasm for practicing PHBS, especially in handwashing practices. Based on the questionnaire data, 30 out of 31 elderly individuals (96.8%) reported consistently applying PHBS, though further analysis is needed. In conclusion, educational activities are essential to improve the health quality of the elderly.
