The<br>rise of layoffs and the difficulty of finding work during the pandemic has made some people<br>decide to become entrepreneurs. The new MSMEs that have sprung up cause the resulting<br>competition to continue to increase. As a result, MSME actors must have a strategy to be able<br>to survive in the midst of competition and difficult conditions due to the pandemic. Therefore,<br>the purpose of this study is to find out how the strategies carried out by SMEs in Salatiga in<br>dealing with problems and how to survive using a quantitative approach. The population of<br>this research is MSMEs in Salatiga City with a total sample of 100 in various business fields.<br>The data used are primary data obtained through a questionnaire. The analysis used in this<br>paper is descriptive analysis. The results showed that more than 50% of SMEs experienced a<br>decrease in income by 45-75%. While the other 9% did not experience a change in income. 24%<br>only experienced a decrease of 10-45%. The rest experienced a significant decrease in the<br>amount of 76-100%. The<br>presence of fintech is a solution for MSMEs in expanding the market and facilitating financing,<br>which so far have not been touched by banking services. Therefore, there is a wide and very large<br>potential when fintech and MSME players collaborate with each other in order to accelerate<br>national economic recovery. Based on this, researchers are interested in seeing whether there are<br>good intentions from MSMEs to use fintech services with various conveniences. This research is<br>divided into 2 studies. First, researchers want to see the acceptance and trust of SMEs in financial<br>technology. Second, the researcher conducted an exploratory analysis to see if there were<br>conveniences for MSMEs in using financial technology. Sampling used a survey technique using<br>open questions and closed questions with198 MSME respondents spread throughout Indonesia.<br>This type of research uses quantitative research supported by qualitative data. The sampling<br>technique used purposive sampling which was tested using the CB-SEM analysis technique with<br>analytical tools, namely IBM AMOS 26 and exploratory analysis using SPSS 23. The results of the<br>SEM analysis showed that there was acceptance &amp; trust in MSMEs in the use of financial technology<br>and there was ease of use tosupport SMEs . As the capital city, DKI Jakarta is no<br>exception to the economic impact caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, where Bank Indonesia<br>noted that 87.5 percent of MSMEs were affected by Covid-19 and 93.2 percent of them were<br>negatively affected by sales. The Welpay program exists as an effort to overcome the problem of<br>sluggish economic turnover, especially SMEs in DKI Jakarta by providing a card containing<br>an incentive balance with a nominal value of one million rupiah each month which is distributed<br>to all residents of DKI Jakarta with certain conditions where the balance in the card can only<br>be used for transactions on SMEs businesses that have been registered as Welpay program<br>partners. This program research uses qualitative methods with concept analysis through<br>literature studies using the Bohnenberger sustainable welfare benefits framework, especially<br>the Universal Basic Voucher. The Universal Basic Voucher or UBV is a policy model for providing<br>a nominal amount in the form of vouchers to all citizens of another country or geographic area,<br>regardless of their income, resources, or employment status. The work from home policy is implemented to keep the economy running during a pan-<br>demic, which has accelerated the digitalization of the economy. Along with the digitalization<br>of the economy, MSMEs are the pillars of the Indonesian economy. The government has also<br>included MSMEs and digital transformation as the focus of national economic recovery. Unfor-<br>tunately, in formulating policies, the government lost its focus on the digitalization of MSMEs.<br>The writing of this paper uses descriptive qualitative research methods based on literature<br>studies from various literature. Merdeka Digitalisasi Program with the self-help approach<br>method is an idea to overcome this. The self-help approach allows the community to help each<br>other develop the existing digitalization potential. The ethos embedded in the self-help ap-<br>proach is responsibility and group image. The formation of communities with this concept has<br>proven to increase resilience and adaptation to unstable times like today. In Merdeka<br>Digitalisasi, students will be sent to villages and MSME entrepreneurs to teach economic<br>digitization. With Merdeka Digitalization, students actively introduce economic digitization<br>to MSMEs and reduce existing technological stuttering. This research is a descriptive<br>quantitative study, the data used in this study is secondary data for Gross Domestic Product<br>and Gross Regional Domestic Product for East Java Province in 2019-2020 with a total of 17<br>sectors studied. The data is processed using location quotient and shift-share analysis tools.<br>The results of the analysis using the Location Quotient approach show that there are five<br>sectors which are the base sectors, namely the Manufacturing Industry sector; Water Supply,<br>Sewerage, Waste Management and Remediation Activies; Wholesale and Retail Trade, Repair<br>of Motor Vehicles and Motorcycles; Transportation and Storage; and Information and<br>Communication. The results of the analysis using the shift-share approach show that all 10<br>sectors in the analysis period show negative numbers. The pandemic not only had a negative impact on the health side but on the social<br>and economic side. The causes of the decline in turnover and the closing of UMKM outlets<br>in 2020 until now include declining domestic demand, difficulty in obtaining raw materials,<br>delays in logistics distribution, greater credit risk and others (Mikro et al. 2020). UMKM that<br>have employees are forced to carry out Termination of Employment (PHK) on the grounds that<br>employers are unable to pay workers’ salaries because their income has decreased. According<br>to data from the MSME ministry, more than 90 percent of Indonesian workers work in the<br>UMKM sector. In resurrecting UMKM’s affected by the pandemic, support is needed in adjusting<br>to the promotion of their merchandise through social media. This helps UMKM’s to promote<br>their products in the digital world. However, not a few of the business actors are not ready to<br>make transactions in the digital world. Social media can be an alternative in promotion,<br>especially in conditions like this, people are limited to outside activities (Rosita 2020). This<br>study uses qualitative analysis techniques, with interviews conducted online. From this<br>background, this study intends to describe how the impact of Covid-19 on UMKM, strategies<br>and efforts and the role of the government in helping UMKM actors in dealing with Covid-19.<br>The research location is in the city of Salatiga, Central Java. Pertumbuhan ekonomi setiap tahun ditentukan oleh dinamika<br>dan perkembangan perekonomian suatu daerah, namun perekonomian suatu daerah pada awalnya<br>ditopang oleh kegiatan ekonomi berskala kecil dan menengah. Tujuan penelitian ini guna<br>menganalisis dampak pengembangan UMKM untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan ekonomi sebagai<br>upaya penanggulangan kemiskinan dan pengangguran di masa pandemi. Penelitian ini<br>menggunakan metode deskriptif analisis dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data<br>menggunakan metode penelitian observasi dengan melibatkan pelaku ekonomi dari UMKM untuk<br>mengumpulkan data terkait dengan dampak pengembangan UMKM untuk meningkatan<br>pertumbuhan ekonomi, dan menggunakan metode wawancara dengan teknik analisis data<br>menggunakan logika deduksi dengan membandingkan teori yang melatar belakangi bentuk<br>permasalahan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan proses pengembangan UMKM untuk<br>meningkatkan sektor ekonomi yang dilakukan oleh pemerintah hanya sebatas pemberian modal<br>dan kurang maksimalnya bantuan lain dalam pengembangan UMKM. Dalam pengembangan<br>UMKM terdapat faktor pendukung yaitu SDM yang melimpah atau tenaga kerja yang memadai,<br>modal usaha ringan, dan adanya kesepakatan harga jual antar produsen dan konsumen. Terdapat<br>pula, faktor penghambat dalam pengembangan UMKM yaitu kurangnya infrastruktur yang<br>memadai. Dengan demikian, dapat ditarik kesimpulan dan dapat ditemukan solusi bahwa UMKM<br>mampu menjadi faktor pendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi, sekaligus sebagai upaya penanganan<br>kemiskinan dan pengangguran di masa pandemi. Regardless, 90 percent of MSMEs<br>affected by the Covid-19 pandemic are not only in urban areas but also in rural areas. Social<br>restrictions resulted in a decrease in village economic transactions both within the village and<br>with the surrounding area. Digital village transformation is the main key so that economic<br>transactions during the pandemic can begin again. The e-commerce-based village program in<br>Taobao Village, China, is the benchmark for this interpretation. The method used in this research<br>is SWOT analysis method and qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of the mapping<br>(plotting) of the IFAS and EFAS analysis strategy quadrant matrices found that the widest area<br>in the SWOT matrix is in quadrant one (Strength–Opportunity area) and means that the best<br>strategy to restore the economy during the pandemic in the village on Indonesia is by digital<br>transformation. This research resulted in the concept of Dekomigital (Desa Ekonomi Digital)<br>which synergizes the implementation of e-commerce and the village MSME database, upgrading<br>the Village Marketing Center (Bumdes), and reforming the go-digital village community that<br>can realize economic recovery during the pandemic.</p> 2023-01-18T13:55:07+07:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement##
