Abstract

This study develops an Internet of Things (IoT)-based water quality monitoring system in Larier, Ambon City. The system uses an Arduino ESP32 microcontroller and the Blynk platform to monitor temperature, pH, and Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) in real time. The sensors were calibrated to ensure measurement accuracy, and performance evaluation using Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) showed good results, particularly for pH and TDS sensors. Field testing was conducted under rainy and sunny weather conditions to assess measurement stability. The results indicated higher TDS values during sunny conditions, higher pH levels during rain, and relatively stable temperature readings. This system enables communities to independently monitor water quality through a mobile application and supports sustainable water resource management. The implementation demonstrates the potential of IoT technology to enhance community awareness and participation in monitoring local environmental quality.
