RESILIENCE ACTIONS OF LOWLAND RICE FARMERS IN RESPONSE TO CLIMATE CHANGE: A STUDY OF RICE FARMING IN THE URBAN AREA OF BENGKULU

Perubahan iklim menjadi isu penting dan menjadi perhatian sekaligus tantangan semua sektor. Pada sektor pertanian, perubahan iklim mengakibatkan terjadinya ketidakpastian hasil produksi, bencana hama dan penyakit tanaman serta kekeringan lahan. Tanaman padi sawah termasuk tanaman yang memiliki ketergantungan tinggi terhadap air, mengingat 45,7% lahan sawah di Indonesia bersifat tadah hujan perubahan iklim menjadi perhatian serius. Upaya dalam mengendalikan kondisi tersebut perlu dilakukan oleh petani seperti melakukan tindakan-tindakan resilien sehingga dampak perubahan iklim dapat dikontrol. Berangkat dari permasalahan tersebut penelitian ini akan mengkaji bagaimana tindakan resiliensi petani padi sawah dalam menghadapi perubahan iklim di Kota Bengkulu. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kota Bengkulu pada 2-14 September 2025 dengan menggunakan analisis kuantitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modal fisik merupakan komponen modal utama yang memberikan kontribusi paling signifikan terhadap perubahan iklim, sedangkan modal sumber daya alam menjadi komponen modal dengan kontribusi terendah dalam menghadapi perubahan iklim oleh petani. Capacity of Learning merupakan bentuk tindakan resiliensi yang memiliki nilai tertinggi, yang mengindikasikan bahwa kegiatan penyuluhan dan pelatihan memberikan dampak signifikan terhadap kemampuan petani dalam menghadapi perubahan iklim. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini merekomendasikan peningkatan frekuensi pertemuan dalam aktivitas pelatihan dan pembelajaran bagi petani guna membangun pengetahuan yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan mereka dalam mengendalikan dampak perubahan iklim.
